Dear Susan

Thank you so much for your thoughts. I've spoken to many other friends of Milt in the last week- he was someone who was as widely loved as he was admired.

Again, thnks for writing!

I was thinking just today about Milt. I knew him in Denver. Also his pianist wife Betty. My son Paul Garver died of lymphoma at age 17 in 1981 and Betty died of the same cancer a few years later. I'm a classical pianist and totally admired the concert Milt and Betty gave for a Denver Symphony fund raiser. I was their page turner. Some events stick with you. I was also in an Investment Club Milt and Betty founded for musicians in Denver. Milt was so smart and could handle the "charts' he required from all of us. I was wondering if he still charted stocks and thought I would ask him thus discovering his death. Although I too went to Oberlin I certainly wasn't in their league. I do hope Milt found happiness as I did with the violist, Arthur Knebel. My sympathy to his family. Susan

My hometown band just lost another great musician and gentleman.

Rest in beautiful peace, Milton. Knock those angels wings off when you get a chance for me.
