The musicians of the Rose City Chamber Orchestra will again be hosting this workshop with artist faculty David Hoose, Christopher Zimmerman and Kenneth Woods.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to working with the RCCO, students conduct our team of professional soloists in concerto and opera sessions. This year\u2019s guest artists are Brennen Guillory- tenor, Esther Mae Moses- soprano and Neal Kurz- piano.<\/p>\n<p>Please visit our website for more information about the course and for complete application details &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosecityworkshop.org\/\">http:\/\/www.rosecityworkshop.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you feel you can\u2019t complete <strong><em>all<\/em><\/strong> the application requirements today but still wish to apply, please email our office at <a href=\"mailto:admin@rosecityworkshop.org\">admin@rosecityworkshop.org<\/a> to let us know of your interest.<\/p>\n<p>Emerging Artists Program<br \/>\n<em>An intense professional workshop for conductors in the advanced stages of their studies, entering the field, or already active as professionals<\/p>\n<p><\/em>Invited participants will have the opportunity to work intensively with all three mentors and the musicians of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosecity.org\" target=\"_blank\">Rose City <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosecity.org\" target=\"_blank\">Chamber <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosecity.org\" target=\"_blank\">Orchestra.<\/a> Each participant will conduct in five teaching sessions and a final mock concert.<\/p>\n<p>Teaching sessions include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opera Masterclass with full orchestra and professional singers<\/li>\n<li>String Orchestra<\/li>\n<li>Concerto accompanying<\/li>\n<li>Wind Ensemble<\/li>\n<li>Symphonic Masterclass<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Repertoire-<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Verdi- <\/strong>excerpts from<em> Otello<\/em><em><br \/>\n<\/em><strong>Beethoven- <\/strong>Symphony no. 6<br \/>\n<strong>Strauss-<\/strong> Metamorphosen<br \/>\n<strong>Stravinsky- <\/strong>Symphonies of Wind<br \/>\nInstruments<br \/>\n<strong>Schumann-<\/strong> Piano Concerto in A minor<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosecityworkshop.org\/Neal.html\">Neal Kurz,<\/a> piano solo<\/p>\n<p>Discovery Program<br \/>\n<em>A perfect opportunity for younger conductors to get started, for educators and teachers to refresh their technique, choral conductors to get time in orchestral repertoire, and for amateurs to test their mettle <\/em>Invited participants will take part in all classes and discussions, will receive personal coaching on basic technique and score preparation and will have 3 opportunities to conduct-<\/p>\n<p>Conducting sessions include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Piano reduction session<\/li>\n<li>String Ensemble session<\/li>\n<li>Full Orchestra session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classes in score preparation<\/li>\n<li>Stick technique<\/li>\n<li>Movement, breathing and posture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Repertoire-<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Beethoven- <\/strong>Symphony no. 6<br \/>\n<strong>Stra<\/strong>uss- Metamorphosen<br \/>\n<strong>Mozart<\/strong>&#8211; Symphony no. 39 in E flat Major, Mvt.
