I highly recommend you check out\u00a0 my descriptions (part I<\/a>, part II a<\/a>nd part III<\/a>) of the incredibly intense rehearsal and recording process for this disc, which gives you some sense of just how hard these wonderful musicians worked.<\/p>\n

Given how much praise the individual players\u2019 artistry has gotten in reviews, including raves for the trombones’ work in the slow movement<\/a> of the Schumann, and the solo playing for flute, oboe, clarinet and horn<\/a> in the G\u00e1l, It\u2019s great that readers can now see who deserves the credit:<\/p>\n
