I play first chair Viola (I am the only Viola player ) in a small orchestra in Florida and teach it along with the classical and flamenco guitar. Thanks for the funny mnemonic and this article. I relies that this article was meant to be somewhat tongue and cheek. However I do feel that several valid points were made by Maestro Woods. I have been debating this transition of clefs for months with our cello player. Maybe we should move the Viola to the Treble clef. After all the guitar sounds an octave lower and its written in the Treble clef so could (IMO) the Viola. Anyway thank you.
